Curator Terms
Last updated: 1 July 2026
1. Scope
These Curator Terms apply to all curators using WeScaleMusic. By applying as a curator, accepting campaigns, adding playlists or using the Curator Dashboard, you agree to these Curator Terms.
2. Independent Contractor
Curators act as independent service providers. Nothing in these Curator Terms creates an employment relationship, partnership, agency relationship or joint venture between the curator and WeScaleMusic. Curators are responsible for their own tax, invoicing and legal obligations.
3. Campaign Allocations
WeScaleMusic may invite curators to accept campaign allocations. A campaign allocation represents an internal campaign volume assigned to the curator for operational purposes. It does not authorize fraudulent, artificial or non-compliant activity.
4. Playlist Placements
Curators may mark playlist placements for campaigns they have accepted. Curators must only mark placements that have actually been added and are valid to the best of their knowledge.
5. Prohibited Methods
Curators must not use bots, fake streams, click farms, incentivized manipulation, artificial engagement, misleading traffic sources, methods that violate Spotify, YouTube or other platform rules, or illegal or fraudulent promotion methods.
6. Playlist Links
Curators may add playlists they work with. These may include owned playlists, partner playlists, trading-related placements or external placement sources. Curators must ensure that the submitted playlist information is accurate and that placements are valid.
7. Rates and Earnings
Curator rates are set by WeScaleMusic and may be shown in the Curator Dashboard. Earnings are calculated based on accepted allocation, agreed rate and currency. Rates may be set in EUR or USD.
8. Invoices and Manual Payouts
Payouts are handled manually by invoice. Curators may send collective invoices covering multiple earnings. WeScaleMusic may group earnings and adjustments into invoice batches. No automatic payout is guaranteed through the platform.
9. First Payout Verification Period
A Curator’s first payout will become eligible for payment only after the expiration of a sixty (60) day verification period following the end of the calendar month in which the Curator’s first campaign on WeScaleMusic commenced.
Once this verification period has expired, the first payout will be processed within fourteen (14) days, subject to the applicable invoicing and payment requirements.
This initial verification period allows WeScaleMusic to review the streaming activity generated during the Curator’s initial collaboration period and to verify that the delivered streams and traffic are legitimate and comply with these Curator Terms and applicable platform policies.
After the first payout, subsequent payouts will follow the standard payout schedule applicable on WeScaleMusic.
WeScaleMusic reserves the right to withhold or delay payment where there are reasonable indications of fraudulent, artificial, manipulated or otherwise non-compliant streaming activity.
Example
First campaign start: 4 July 2026. End of the relevant calendar month: 31 July 2026. The 60-day verification period is calculated from the end of July, so the first payout becomes eligible after that period has expired. A payment made on 30 September 2026 would fall within this first payout process. After eligibility is reached, WeScaleMusic has up to 14 days to process the first payout according to the applicable payout/invoicing procedure.
10. Delivery Review and Adjustments
WeScaleMusic may review campaign delivery after or during a campaign. If reviewed delivery differs from the accepted allocation, WeScaleMusic may apply adjustments to curator earnings. Adjustments may be positive or negative. Negative balances may be offset against future campaign earnings.
11. No Customer Contact Unless Authorized
Curators must not contact WeScaleMusic customers directly unless explicitly authorized. Curators must not disclose internal campaign data, customer information, pricing, allocations or payment details.
12. Confidentiality
Curators must keep internal platform data, campaign information, customer information, rates, allocation details and other confidential information confidential.
13. Account Suspension
WeScaleMusic may suspend or terminate curator accounts if suspicious activity is detected, prohibited methods are used, false placements are submitted, platform rules are violated, fraudulent activity is suspected, or the curator breaches these terms.
14. Changes to Curator Terms
WeScaleMusic may update these Curator Terms. Curators may be asked to accept updated terms before continuing to use the Curator Dashboard.
