How Much Does Spotify Promotion Cost in 2026?

Pricing models, real current numbers and realistic budget ranges — so you can decide what to spend before you decide who to spend it with.

Editorial disclosure: This guide is published by WeScaleMusic, which sells Spotify promotion campaigns and is included in the pricing comparison below. Other providers' figures come from their own official pricing pages and help centres. Pricing checked September 2026 — prices and eligibility requirements may change.

How much does Spotify promotion cost?

Spotify promotion can cost anywhere from a few euros for a single curator submission to several hundred or several thousand euros for a larger managed campaign. There is no single market rate, because the phrase covers several unrelated products.

As of September 2026, current pricing models look like this:

  • Individual curator outreach from around €2 per contact on Groover
  • Individual Spotify playlist submissions from around $6 on One Submit
  • Managed Playlist Push campaigns starting around $280, with an average campaign price around $550
  • Spotify Marquee and Showcase display campaign budgets between roughly $100 and $10,000, or local equivalent
  • WeScaleMusic package-based Spotify campaigns, currently from €79 to €1499 on the live Spotify promotion page

These options are not directly equivalent — they buy fundamentally different types of promotion. Comparing them purely on headline price will mislead you. Pricing checked September 2026; prices can change.

Why does Spotify promotion pricing vary so much?

Because "Spotify promotion" describes at least five different services that happen to share a name. Each one has its own cost structure and its own idea of what you are actually buying.

Managed promotion campaigns

A provider handles campaign setup, targeting and curator outreach for you. Pricing is usually package-based or set as a campaign budget, and the price reflects campaign size and management work rather than a per-stream rate.

Pay-per-curator submissions

You browse curators or industry professionals yourself and pay per submission or per contact. Costs are small individually and add up quickly across a full outreach round. You are buying a review, not a placement.

Spotify's own advertising tools

Marquee and Showcase use Spotify's own inventory, are bought inside Spotify for Artists, are charged per click and have their own eligibility requirements. That makes them fundamentally different from third-party outreach.

Editorial pitching

Pitching eligible unreleased music to Spotify's editorial team through Spotify for Artists is free and entirely separate from paid promotion. It has no price because it is not a product.

Broader advertising

Meta, TikTok, Google and YouTube ads can all send listeners to Spotify. These are priced as advertising — per click or per impression — and are often the largest line in a release budget.

Because these buy different things, do not flatten them into a single "cost per stream" figure. A €2 curator contact and a €500 managed campaign are not competing offers on the same scale.

How much does WeScaleMusic Spotify promotion cost?

WeScaleMusic uses fixed campaign packages rather than charging per curator contact, so the price is known before the campaign starts. The figures below are pulled live from the same package data used on the Spotify promotion page.

PackageCurrent priceEstimated campaign target
Starter€792k–5k estimated streams
Starter Plus€1494k–10k estimated streams
Rising Artist€26910k–20k estimated streams
Breakthrough€39915k–30k estimated streams
Pro Campaign€69930k–50k estimated streams
Momentum€99950k–80k estimated streams
Icon€149980k–120k estimated streams

Those numbers are estimated campaign targets based on comparable campaigns — not guaranteed streams. Curators decide independently and listeners decide whether to play the track.

The workflow behind the price is straightforward:

  1. 1.Paste your Spotify track link
  2. 2.The release is recognised automatically
  3. 3.Select the package that fits your budget
  4. 4.The campaign goes through review
  5. 5.Curator outreach and campaign workflow run
  6. 6.Progress and results appear in your dashboard

Labels and distributors running several releases can also review label workspace options. If you are still comparing providers rather than budgets, read the best Spotify promotion services comparison.

How much do Spotify Marquee and Showcase cost?

Marquee and Showcase are Spotify's own paid display campaigns, bought directly inside Spotify for Artists. Spotify states that display campaign budgets generally range from $100 to $10,000 USD, or the local currency equivalent, and that campaigns are charged on a cost-per-click basis. What you actually pay per click varies with your audience, your target markets and how the campaign is configured.

Marquee

A full-screen recommendation shown to listeners for an eligible new release. Campaigns currently run for approximately 10 days.

Showcase

A sponsored recommendation that can promote new releases or catalogue music. Campaigns currently run for approximately 14 days.

Eligibility matters before budget

Spotify currently requires at least 1,000 streams in the previous 28 days in at least one target market to run display campaigns, and Marquee currently also requires at least 5,000 monthly active listeners in the selected target market. Requirements change, so confirm the current thresholds in Spotify's official campaigns documentation before planning around them. WeScaleMusic does not sell or run Marquee or Showcase campaigns — they are bought from Spotify directly.

Does Spotify charge for editorial playlist pitching?

No. Editorial pitching is free and it is not a promotion package. Eligible upcoming unreleased songs can be pitched through Spotify for Artists, and Spotify recommends submitting at least seven days before release. Generally only one eligible song can be pitched at a time, and Spotify's editorial team decides whether it is selected.

Pitching does not guarantee playlist placement, and there is no paid route around that. No third-party company can legitimately sell guaranteed Spotify editorial placement — if someone offers it, that alone tells you what kind of service you are looking at. Spotify's own pitching guidance explains the process, and our guide to Spotify playlist pitching walks through editorial, algorithmic and independent playlists step by step.

How much does Playlist Push cost?

According to Playlist Push's own help centre as of September 2026, campaigns start at approximately $280, the average Spotify campaign costs around $550, and larger campaigns run past $1,000. The exact price depends on your campaign setup and how many relevant playlist curators exist for the targeting you choose.

Playlist Push works with independent, user-generated playlist curators and states that it does not work directly with Spotify's editorial team. Curators listen and decide for themselves, so paying for a campaign buys the reviews and the campaign management — not placements. Official pricing

How much does Groover cost for Spotify promotion?

Groover is priced in credits called Grooviz. One Grooviz is roughly €1, and a standard contact usually costs 2 Grooviz — about €2. Some premium contacts cost more. That makes the maths simple:

≈ €20
10 curators
≈ €50
25 curators
≈ €100
50 curators

These are arithmetic examples before any available bundle discounts — not predicted campaign results.

Groover states that credits are returned for eligible contacts that do not reply. That is a guarantee of feedback, which is not the same thing as a guarantee of playlist placement — a distinction worth keeping straight when comparing costs. Official pricing

How much does One Submit Spotify promotion cost?

One Submit prices per submission, with Spotify playlist submissions starting at around $6 as of September 2026. The payment covers curator review and consideration, plus feedback where the curator offers it. It does not purchase a placement.

For some highly competitive genres One Submit currently states that minimum campaign-spend requirements may apply, so the practical entry cost can be higher than the headline per-submission price. Check the current genre rules on their official pricing page before budgeting.

How much does SoundCampaign cost?

SoundCampaign does not publish a single universal starting price. Cost is campaign-specific and depends on your genres, how many relevant curators are available, the campaign configuration and the budget you set. You see the price during campaign setup rather than in advance.

SoundCampaign also runs an Artist Protection Program: where eligible curators fail to provide the required review, unused campaign budget may be returned as account credit. That protects you against unfulfilled reviews — it is not compensation for not receiving playlist placements. Official pricing

How much should an independent artist spend on Spotify promotion?

The honest answer is that it depends on release quality, existing audience size, genre, current traction, the campaign objective and your own economics as an artist. What follows is what each range can realistically buy — not what it will produce.

Under €50

Good for testing individual curator submissions, small DIY outreach and learning which curators fit the release. Not enough for a managed campaign.

€50–€150

Good for broader DIY curator outreach, entry-level campaign options where they exist, and testing promotion before committing more.

€150–€500

Good for structured promotion campaigns, larger curator outreach, and entry to mid-level managed campaigns.

€500–€1,000

Good for priority releases, larger managed campaigns and combining several promotion methods in one release plan.

€1,000+

Best considered when the release is commercially important, there is a broader marketing plan, the budget covers complementary channels, and performance will genuinely be measured and reviewed.

None of these ranges corresponds to a specific stream outcome, and any provider that tells you otherwise is selling certainty that does not exist.

Spotify Promotion Budget Planner

What's your approximate promotion budget? This shows which promotion methods realistically fit — it does not predict streams.

Should you judge Spotify promotion by cost per stream?

Usually not as your primary metric. Cost per stream is easy to calculate and easy to game, which is exactly the problem. A very low advertised cost per stream rewards the wrong incentives, and when it is paired with a promise of exact results it is a warning sign rather than a bargain.

Look at the shape of the listening instead:

  • Listener geography — does it match where the campaign was targeted?
  • Source of streams — playlists, your profile, algorithmic surfaces or search?
  • Saves and follower changes during and after the campaign
  • Streams per listener, and whether anyone came back
  • Playlist activity and how long placements lasted
  • Whether the overall pattern looks relevant to the release

There is no universal "good" cost per stream to aim for, and chasing a low one is how artists end up buying streams rather than promotion.

What should you never pay for on Spotify?

Spotify warns against third-party services that offer money in exchange for guaranteed streams, followers, playlist placement or algorithmic prioritisation, and advises artists to investigate any third-party promotion method carefully before using it. Artificial streaming can affect your music on the platform, regardless of who generated it.

No provider — WeScaleMusic included — should be described as "Spotify approved", "Spotify certified" or "100% safe". Those designations do not exist. Judge a provider on whether it can explain plainly how listening is generated, and read Spotify's official guidance on artificial streaming before spending anything.

Campaign estimate vs guaranteed streams

Campaign estimate

A forecast or target based on campaign size, audience and how comparable campaigns have performed. Actual results vary with the track, the genre and curator decisions.

Guaranteed streams

A promise that a precise quantity of streams will be delivered regardless of whether genuine listeners choose to play the track. That volume has to come from somewhere.

These are fundamentally different concepts, and the difference is where most of the risk in this market sits. WeScaleMusic package numbers are estimated campaign targets, never guaranteed streams.

Does spending more on Spotify promotion guarantee better results?

No. Depending on the method, a larger budget can buy more campaign reach, more submissions, larger targeting pools and longer or broader campaigns. Those are real things and they matter.

What budget cannot buy is playlist acceptance, listener retention, saves, followers, algorithmic growth or editorial placement. Those depend on how people respond to the record. A bigger campaign puts a weak release in front of more people who will skip it; the quality and relevance of the music stay decisive.

How to set a Spotify promotion budget

Release priority

Is this a flagship single or a lower-priority catalogue release? Not every track deserves the same spend.

Existing audience

Do you already have listeners and measurable demand? Promotion works better on top of something than from nothing.

Total release marketing budget

Decide the whole marketing budget first, then allocate a share to Spotify promotion. Do not spend all of it on one channel.

Promotion objective

Discovery, curator outreach, audience testing or supporting a wider campaign — the objective changes which method fits.

Measurement plan

Decide in advance which Spotify for Artists metrics you will review, and when. A budget without a review plan is guesswork.

Spend money you can afford to lose on a single release. Borrowing to finance promotion is not a strategy.

Example Spotify promotion budgets

These are illustrative allocation examples to show how promotion fits into a release plan. They are not performance forecasts.

€150 release promotion budget

A smaller managed or entry-level campaign, or a selective round of curator outreach — with some budget held back for creative and content support.

€500 release marketing budget

Spotify promotion as one line, complementary short-form or social advertising as another, and a share for content assets.

€1,500 release marketing budget

A larger Spotify campaign, video or social advertising, creative production, and something reserved for retargeting or a follow-up push.

Notice that Spotify promotion is one line item in each example, not the whole budget. Releases that perform well usually have several things pointing at them at once.

When is Spotify promotion worth the cost?

It may make sense when

  • • The track is finished and professionally released
  • • The artist profile is complete and presentable
  • • Audience and genre positioning are clear
  • • There is enough budget to test responsibly
  • • Results will actually be monitored
  • • The provider explains its promotion methods transparently

It may be premature when

  • • The release is unfinished or unmastered
  • • Branding and profile assets are incomplete
  • • There is no wider release plan around it
  • • The provider cannot explain where the traffic comes from

Frequently asked questions

It ranges from a couple of euros to several thousand, because the term covers very different services. Pay-per-contact platforms start at roughly €2 per curator on Groover and around $6 per Spotify submission on One Submit. Managed curator campaigns cost far more — Playlist Push states campaigns start near $280 with an average around $550. Spotify's own display campaigns (Marquee and Showcase) accept budgets from about $100 up to $10,000 or the local equivalent. Package-based providers such as WeScaleMusic publish a fixed price per campaign size upfront.

Spend an amount you can lose without harming the rest of your release plan. Under €50 is realistically a test of individual curator submissions. €150–€500 is where structured campaigns and broader outreach become possible. Above €500 usually only makes sense for a priority release with a wider marketing plan and a way to measure the results in Spotify for Artists. There is no budget that buys a guaranteed outcome.

Playlist-focused promotion is priced either per submission or per campaign. Per submission you are typically looking at a few euros or dollars per curator. Managed playlist campaigns are priced as a package or a campaign budget and generally run from the low hundreds upwards. In both cases you are paying for the pitch and the review, never for a placement, because curators decide independently.

Marquee is bought inside Spotify for Artists as a display campaign. Spotify states display campaign budgets generally range from $100 to $10,000 USD or the local currency equivalent, and campaigns are charged on a cost-per-click basis, so the effective price depends on your audience, target markets and targeting setup. Eligibility requirements apply, so check Spotify's current campaign documentation before planning a budget around it.

Yes. Pitching an eligible unreleased song to Spotify's editorial team through Spotify for Artists costs nothing. Spotify recommends submitting at least seven days before release and you can generally have one eligible song pitched at a time. Spotify's editors decide whether to use it, and pitching never guarantees a placement. No third party can legitimately sell you editorial placement.

It can be when the release is finished and well presented, your artist profile is complete, the genre positioning is clear and you will actually review the data afterwards. It is usually premature when the release is unfinished, there is no wider release plan, or the provider cannot explain where the listening comes from. Promotion amplifies a release — it does not compensate for one that is not ready.

You should not. Spotify warns against third-party services that offer streams, followers, playlist placements or algorithmic prioritisation in exchange for money, and using them can affect your music on the platform. A campaign estimate based on comparable campaigns is a normal forecast; a guaranteed stream count is a promise nobody can keep with genuine listeners.
